In action

Your model picks the tool. You picked the catalog.

Toggle a service from the dashboard and your client sees the change live — no restart, no reload. The model is told what it can do, nothing more.

Live tools/list_changed
Claude Desktop and Cursor refresh their tool list automatically.
No token bloat
Only the schemas of services you turned on hit the model context.

FAQ

Things people ask.

What is MCP, and why do I need ClawMCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is how Claude, Cursor, and other clients call external tools. ClawMCP gives you one endpoint that exposes a curated catalog — so you don’t have to install or configure individual MCP servers.
Do I need to know what OAuth is?
No. Click "Connect with Google", paste the URL we give you into your client, you’re done. We document what we need; you don’t need to read it.
What does BYOK mean?
"Bring Your Own Key" — for services like Whisper or Maps, you can plug in your own provider API key. We store it encrypted and skip our quotas entirely on calls that use it.
Will my model always see all 15 tools at once?
Only the tools of services you toggled on are exposed to your model. Activations propagate live via tools/list_changed; clients that don’t support that just need a reconnect.
Is my data sent to third parties?
When you call a tool, we proxy the request to that provider on your behalf. We don’t store request bodies or responses beyond a usage log (timestamps, latency, tool name) — never content.
